Liberia’s Foreign – Says Minister, Sara Beysolow-Nyanti, has charged Liberians to rise above division and work collectively towards the reconstruction of Liberia, especially by strengthening and promoting the country’s peace, reconciliation, and national development agenda.
On Monday, December 29, 2025, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, following her recognition by the Independent Elder Council of Liberia in keeping with her commitment to national peace and reconciliation, Nyanti expressed profound gratitude to the Elder Council and dedicated the recognition to all Liberians.
She urged Liberians to put aside their differences, primarily political, ethnic, and social differences, and focus on what unites the country and drives the national agenda.
According to her, Liberia’s shared heritage, future, and the responsibility of every citizen to build a peaceful and prosperous nation should be the focus of all Liberians.
” I’m calling on Liberians from all walks of life to rise above division and work together for national progress. For Liberia to move forward, every citizen must be willing to sacrifice in the best interest of the state,” she said.
Commenting on the recognition, Minister Nyanti clarified that the award is not an individual achievement, while emphasizing that it is the collective effort of every citizen who believes in peace, unity, and the promise of the nation.
” I accept this honor on behalf of the hardworking men and women in our diplomatic missions and all who strive daily for a better Liberia,” she concluded.

The award recognizes her exceptional leadership and unwavering commitment to national unity, peace, and diplomatic advancement and achievement. The Liberia Independent Elder Council for Peace and Reconciliation, composed of respected community leaders, spiritual custodians, and elders from across the country, has long played a vital role in promoting dialogue, healing, and social cohesion in post-conflict Liberia.
